Overcoming the “case of the Mondays” mindset.

THIS. 👆

It’s what Mondays always felt like, ever since I got my first “real” job out of college. [ true story — I worked at a company JUST like Innotek, so Office Space was extremely, painfully, relatable ].

And I carried that feeling for a long time. Even after I started working for myself!

“Mondays suck” … “Everyone hates Mondays” … “Nothing good ever happens on Mondays” …

It’s funny how amazing ideas strike when you least expect it.

Ironically, the idea of Monday Mantra came to me on a Monday morning walk.

I had been posting motivational quotes for a while on LinkedIn, trying to grow my “following” there — [ spoiler alert: still NOT an influencer ] — and it was getting exhausting.

Like, soul-sucking exhausting.

I’m sure many of you can relate to the struggle.

So, I thought, “What if I stop the social media nonsense and actually DO something productive with that time? … How could I refocus my energy on actually reaching (and helping) people instead?”

With that, Monday Mantra was born.

And I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for myself and my business.

Yeah, we’re kinda serious about board games.

They can teach you a TON about life — and business.

And it’s just a super fun thing to do with family and friends.

My Dad has been collecting games ever since my brother and I were little. His collection (to date) is over 150 titles … some of which aren’t even in English!

Don’t believe me? [ I submit Exhibit A 👇 ]

It’s one of our favorite things to do as a family. Every time we visit my parents, I check for new additions to his collection. As my Mom can attest, “There’s always at least one.” 😉

So, it was only natural to recruit my copywriter-extraordinaire Dad (out of retirement) to help with this newsletter, sharing our collective passion.

He’s the author of our “Victory Points” section, breaking down our favorite games and what we love (and learn) while playing them.

Monday Mantra is my gift to hard-working humans.

Yep. You guys. The ones grinding it out. Battling through tough days and relentless demands.

If I can make your Mondays, your work week, even a tiny bit better, I’ve accomplished my goal.

And it’s immensely more gratifying than screaming into the void on social.
