“There are many ways of going forward, but only one way of standing still.”

FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT

Your website’s been a hot mess for two years and you know it.

You care more than most … which, let’s face it, is part of the problem.

You even started looking for help once. But the last time you handed things over was a nightmare.

And the thought of explaining your whole business to a stranger, hoping they “get it,” and paying for the privilege of being disappointed again … causes a panic attack.

So it stays on the to-do-maybe-eventually list. Embarrassing in a way you never mention. Unless (gasp) a new prospect asks to SEE IT.

Then it becomes an apology.

I’m not going to tell you it’s costing you clients. You already know that.

And knowing (but not doing) doesn’t make you lazy about your business.

You got burned, and that sucks.

Maybe your previous designer created a nice looking site, but they never took time to understand what you actually do. So your prospects don’t get it either.

Or your nephew who’s “good with computers” built it as a favor over spring break. And, let’s be real, there’s no easy way to fire someone you have to see at Thanksgiving.

Or maybe you hired an agency to take the whole branding and web project off your plate. Felt like a smart choice. But six painful weeks later, they were still bugging you for content, colors, fonts, and images. Like you don’t have enough to do.

You lost money and time. But the biggest loss is the belief that handing it off (again) is even possible. Or sane.

You suspect that the only person capable of getting it right next time is, well … YOU.

But you don’t have the time or the skill set. So the website just sits there. Because trying again feels more expensive than leaving it alone.

Here’s the thing about a problem you’ve decided is acceptably permanent: you stop checking whether it still is.

It’s been a minute. And you’re actually wrong about the “more expensive” part.

Keeping a lousy website has a cost too. You just don’t get an invoice.

Make it a great week! 🙌
